Richmond, KY — This one nearly sent me home empty handed, when clouds appeared out of nowhere. They were not forecast to form, and parked large shadows over my subjects.

Shooting went well at first. But when I landed to prepare for video segments, the clouds appeared. Big fluffy clouds with shadows. Not good shadows, bad shadows who cause issues.

The clouds didn’t even move, I’d be hovering for 10-15 minutes looking for shots without shadows. Land. Try again. Again be forced to land. Over and over. Never before had I encountered such helplessness on a mission.

In Richmond, we had to accept the situation and were prepared. We used four (4) M3C batteries here. That never happens, never, and I had six on hand just in case plus a charger. I refuse to give up. Such is my professional attitude.

So I sat there for hours, going up and down in frustration until … we managed to work around the shadows, and delivered a “stunning” pro real estate package.
