Bowling Green, KY — Sbarro NY Style pizza & gas station concept was newly opened. Corporate wanted pro aerial photos and ground marketing shots… despite smoky skies by Canada wildfires.

Problem was also airspace. They built this gas station in the middle of runway path of the Bowling Green Airport.

The map showed a RED ZERO for FAA which means no flying allowed period. No exceptions. Client was prepared to accept ground shots and nothing more. Kentucky UAS doesn’t settle.

Missions like these challenge a pilots ability to perform. I’m a performer. Something has to give.

Working diligently and creatively, was able secure 100ft airspace authorization for area despite the airport next door.

This allowed us to fly and thus to deliver sensational shots – far exceeding my clients expectations.
